MANAGEMENT OF ASBESTOS RESPONSIBILITIES – HALF DAY COURSE
The course has been developed to detail the requirements placed on the duty holder and those responsible for the day to day management of asbestos.
- Legal Responsibilities
- Properties of asbestos;
- Types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and ACMs in buildings;
- Health issues in relation to asbestos exposure;
- Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 – the duty to manage;
- The duty-holder and their responsibilities;
- The development and monitoring of an Asbestos Management Plan;
- The implementation of safe working procedures;
- Assessing the condition of ACMs and prioritising actions;
- Implementation of management actions; and
- The selection and monitoring of contractors.
If required a short end of course test can be completed by delegates.
A course certificate will be issued.
